Monday, December 19th, 2005wazzup wazzup with me these days???
well, a lot has changed since the last time i posted here…one thing is that i moved and everything changed, it was like a 180-degree turn…i am now trying to have the time of my life here in the queen city of the south…CEBU! "trying" bcoz it’s not all sunshine and cotton candy here in the city…i moved last month and up to now i haven’t totally adjusted to the "city life"…it’s difficult in here, but im learning a lot…for one thing i learned to do my laundry and budget my money…back home someone else does these for me…i figured everyone here is in such a rush, it’s chaotic, there’s lots of traffic that almost always gives me a headache…but what i like about moving here is that i met lots of friends. i am living with 13 other girls and everyday in the boarding house is all smiles…most of them are students and few "career women"…they are so friendly that they instantly became my fashion advisors (bcoz fashion was never in my vocabulary), my confidants (willing to listen to whatever crap i tell them), my girlfriends…what i like most is our girl talk sessions where everyone gets to air their laudry (dirty or not so dirty)…
my job here is nothing new, it’s just an old job at a new school…i work as a part-time instructor at "tops again"…hehe…and a full-time "housemate sa bahay ni kuya" (we call our landlord "kuya")…i teach only 16 hours in a week so most of the time i stay at the boarding house…in here nobody believes me if i tell them im a teacher…well, whatever…so im occassionally "harrassed" by students but im fine, i can take it…im experiencing same things as when i was still teaching in leyte, only students here are more hard-headed…everyone is nice here at work so im good plus it’s walking distance from where i live makes it easier…
yeah, im starting to have fun here but i really miss my family and my place…i miss the mountains and the sea and the sunsets and the silence and our dog and my mother’s home-cooked meals and our fishes (we 3 aquaria and a fish pond) and my former officemates at plant oil stove project and my former co-teachers at DCST and i miss strolling around lsu campus…it’s nostalgic! can’t wait to go home…
